Q & A

What do you love most about owning La Bella?

My relationships with my clients. Some of them have been shopping with me for over 20 years and I don’t know what I would do without these friends in my life!

Wait, have you owned La Bella for that long?

No. I have owned my boutique for 14 years. Before that I worked at another store in Long Beach for over 8 years, and many of my clients have been with me since the beginning.

What makes La Bella different from other boutiques?

We don’t just sell beautiful clothes at La Bella. We create a lifestyle.

What do you mean by "lifestyle"?

We’ve done everything from designing a client’s upcoming event and hand-making her invitations to styling an entire bridal party head to toe. We organize closets, style photo shoots, decorate clients' homes for the holidays and host fundraising events…I love what I do!

Take us to your happy place...

Anyone that knows me knows that my "happy place" is our family home in Palm Springs. The desert holds a special place in my heart. I’ve been going there since I was a little girl, and I got married at Le Parker Meridien in Palm Springs!

After work where can we find you?

Spending time with my family and my two favorite boys- my “boyfriend” (I still refer to him that way since tying the knot in 2008) and our son Dante, by far my greatest accomplishment in life.

What fashion quote best describes you?

That’s easy. “I'll stop wearing black when they make a darker color."

If you didn’t own La Bella, what would you be doing?

I would be an event planner. I am constantly inspired by things. It's funny, but I can pick up something as simple as a $4 set of napkins and envision an entire party around their color and print.

Where do you find your inspiration?

Blogs, magazines, fashion, Pinterest, flea markets and other creative minds. It's impossible not to be inspired.

Favorite food?

Mexican! My husband makes some mean tacos and his guacamole is addictive… I’d take them any day of the week.

Tell us what you’re currently obsessing over?

That’s a silly question...I am always obsessing over diamonds!

Any parting words?

We’re hoping to inspire, for even just a moment. Welcome to La Bella!

 XO,

Cherie

What do you love most about your job?

I love the friendships that I have cultivated over that last seven years while working at La Bella. Honestly, I really don't feel like it's a job. I'm obsessed with fashion and feel so fortunate to get to play everyday.

What would you say your personal style is?

Casual chic- I wear mostly neutrals and tend to gravitate to timeless pieces.

Is there anything you are currently obsessing over?

My Jerome Dreyfuss leopard Jacque handbag- I'm in LOVE!

When you are not at La Bella where can we find you?

Spending time with my family, weekends with my girlfriends, working out, trying new restaurants, shopping, eating... did I mention eating?

So you like to eat?

That's an understatement. Thank God I'm six feet tall!

What is your favorite place to shop in L.A.?

La Bella!

Do you have any favorites in N.Y.?

Hands down ABC Home. Decorating my new place has become a hobby. I brought an enormous 60lb sparkly gem home from my last trip- by far my most favorite home accessory to date.

Where is your favorite getaway?

I'm obsessed with New York. Everytime I go I wish I could stay for a few months and really discover the city. The people, the shopping , the fantastic restaurants- N.Y. is a new adventure everytime I go and that's what I love in a getaway.

What would someone be surprised to learn about you?

I don't miss a year at the O.C. Fair! I think people would be shocked to know all of the fair fare I can consume.

Okay we get it! You like to eat. Drink of choice?

 Martini... extra dirty!

What is one thing that you’d be willing to leave work early for?

One of my first “loves” and the only thing I will leave work early for is an L.A. King’s game!

Hockey?

Yes. My dad grew up on the east coast and fell in love with the sport at a young age. His love for the game has been passed down to me. Those games are some of my fondest memories with my family.

What’s next for La Bella?

For now we have our hands full with the launch of the website. Our next goal is to open a second location.

Enjoy!
